“Results of the German randomized controlled trial found that mean carbon dioxide levels inhaled by children wearing face masks were 6-fold higher than acceptable levels set by the German government, with mean concentrations approaching 14 000 ppm.. One seven-year old child’s carbon dioxide level was 25 000 ppm. Furthermore, measured levels in children were reached after only three minutes of mask-wearing, which may persist 90 times longer on average during mask-wearing throughout the course of a normal school day.”
